Bring A Date?
Get there early enough to get some drinks and grab a seat. Burlesque shows are an awesome way to explore your sexuality with a new person or in a new way. I’ve never been to a strip club so I don’t have a means of comparison but I imagine more people would be open to a burlesque show date over a strip club date.
Find A Date?
It’s a fair assumption that those in attendance will be open minded so you can get a great dialogue going about body image, queer politics, or you know, how awesome boobs & pasties are. Stick around for a drink or two after with someone who sparks your interest or get there early (since doors are so much earlier than show time) and strike up conversations at the bar so you can watch the show with your new friend.
